It's bizarre to think that Stewart Switzer's successful business is the result of a friend's bad luck, but that's exactly the case. "The company was founded by accident," says Switzer. "A close friend and business colleague owned a full service e-commerce store that he had self developed years ago, well before shopping cart software and companies like MonsterCommerce were around. The server for his store suddenly crashed, and my good buddy was without everything: images, product details, income, website layout, and more. He lost his entire store." Switzer convinced his friend to try out shopping cart software, and to prove to him how quickly and easily a storefront could be set up using this technology, Switzer started TheExecutiveAdvertising.com as an example. The storefront now offers over 10,000 promotional products.
Switzer gives credit to MonsterCommerce for providing TheExecutiveAdvertising.com with an e-commerce platform that is easy to use, yet still provides the bells and whistles he needs to keep up with his competitors. "I was more worried about selling my products and making money instead of figuring out a complicated website creation program," remembers Switzer. "The website development platform is so easy that anyone can create a website." And it's a good thing that his time is not taken up by a complicated storefront - Switzer plans on increasing his product offering to over 200,000 items by 2009. "TheExecutiveAdvertising.com is starting to change the industry. We are the only promotional products distributor that does not charge a setup fee to our customers, so they can save hundreds of dollars," says Switzer. Switzer is dedicated to providing his customers with only the best, so he appreciates getting the same in return from MonsterCommerce. "I am constantly getting friendly service, good support, and the answers to my problems. I cannot compliment the tech support staff enough. Making it in business is hard enough as it is, so the last thing I need is a rude attitude or unknowledgeable customer support. In the two years that I have been with them, I have never experienced that with MonsterCommerce."
