Eric and Gail Blodgett founded Sunburst Performance in 1992, after having problems finding the right parts to upgrade their water sport crafts. The success of Sunburst led to the Blodgetts wanting to open a sport vehicle dealership, which would allow them to acquire more parts for their customers' needs. When Eric and Gail Blodgett bought Parker Yamaha, the company's staff only consisted of six members. The company soon grew to over 20 full time employees, and the building followed suit with an expansion in 2001. In 2003, the Blodgetts decided to push their business even further with an online storefront powered by the MonsterCommerce shopping cart.
E-commerce has opened up a larger customer base for Parker Yamaha and the Blodgetts. Always a strong presence in the Lake Havasu area, Parker Yamaha now has a solid place in the online sport vehicle market. Through their MonsterCommerce storefront, the Blodgetts' customers can receive fast customer service and shop 24 hours a day, seven days a week. MonsterCommerce also powers Parker Yamaha with a shopping cart that is both easy to use and capable of handling their rigorous business needs. "The search for a shopping cart that could handle the many factors that we needed was a challenge. We also needed a cart that would be easy to use and maintain. With Network Solutions and MonsterCommerce, a solution was finally found."
