Merchant Information: Submission Guidelines
|
Getting Started
Getting listed in MonsterMarketplace® Shopping Directory
is easy. First, you must be a MonsterCommerce storefront
owner or user, which now means that your online store is supported by the Network Solutions e-commerce platform. Simply fill out the merchant submission
form and your information will be reviewed for guideline
accuracy by one of our editors. If your site meets the criteria, it will be added to MonsterMarketplace within two weeks of submission. Submission does not guarantee acceptance or inclusion.
MonsterMarketplace was built to generate additional exposure for MonsterCommerce
clients. Being listed in MonsterMarketplace is FREE, but your store
must meet our minimum acceptability
requirements. |

or 100% preferred)

General Store Optimization Tips
Issues with your store's appearance in MonsterMarketplace
- We recommend as does the MC manual for your storefront,
a thumbnail image no larger than 100px by 100px. This will
prevent unnecessary resizing by MonsterMarketplace.
- Avoid using HTML in the submission form when submitting
or when modifying your listing. HTML
in the product description of your MC store administration panel is accepted though.
- Avoid using HTML symbols in your code preceding your menu
link text, it causes some menus to wrap as well as appear in front of MonsterMarketplace bullet lists.
i.e. • »
- We recommend you add images to all of your product categories
from your storefront admin, these will display in your
subcategories when you have an enhanced listing.
- Occasionally you may see a missing image with an "x",
this happens when you are "hot linking" images from another
site; this should be avoided as much as possible. All images
should reside on your server.
In addition, if MonsterMarketplace still shows a broken image even though you have an image, it is because your site may have been too busy at the time our server made the request for the image, so as to not tax your server, our placeholder appears.

MonsterMarketplace® offers two types of merchant listings. The first, is a Standard merchant
listing, which is free of charge and consists of a text-based
listing, your store will be listed under any (1) top level category.
The second type is an Enhanced listing. This listing has your logo and/or
a graphic banner ad for your store on your landing page in MonsterMarketplace. Enhanced listings are only available to those merchants that have purchased an Enterprise Design package from our MonsterWebDesign site. |
